Maybank Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. ("Maybank AM Malaysia")

Dr Hasnita binti Dato' Hashim
Dr Hasnita binti Dato' Hashim is currently a Director of Maybank since 1 July 2016. She was appointed as the Chairman of Maybank Asset Management Group Berhad on 1 January 2017 and Maybank Asset Management Malaysia on 15 January 2017.

Dr Hasnita brings in with her 25 years of global financial management experience in the field of asset management, structured finance and asset securitisation, she is also known to be a pioneer and innovator in Islamic finance and has extensive relationships with large investors and key business players particularly from the Gulf countries.

She was the Chief Executive Officer of Guidance Investments Sdn Bhd (an investment arm of Guidance Financial Group, a global investment company) with assets under management of around USD1 billion. In 1998, Dr Hasnita founded IslamiQ, the world's first online Islamic finance portal. She was the Chief Executive Officer of Commerce MGI Sdn Bhd (CMGI), Malaysia from 1994 - 1998.

Dr Hasnita holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Surrey University, PhD in Nuclear Physics from Oxford University and presently an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries, Staple Inn, London.
Goh Ching Yin
Goh Ching Yin was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Maybank Asset Management Group Berhad on 1 January 2017.

Goh holds master of business administration from the Cranfield University, and has held various leadership and management positions in investment banking, regional business development, strategic consultancy, corporate recovery and insolvency, and auditing. He started his professional career with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company (now known as KPMG), and then moved on to consultancy at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Goh later started his foray into the investment banking industry when he was with RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Berhad as a General Manager for Corporate Finance. Subsequently, he assumed the roles as the Managing Director of Corporate Finance with the BNP Paribas Group in Malaysia, and the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Investment Bank Berhad of the Southern Bank Group. He then held positions as executive director in the Chairman’s Office, Strategy and Development, and Market Oversight Divisions during his stint with the Securities Commission Malaysia.

In addition, he is the Chairman of Maybank Private Equity Sdn Bhd and board member of Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd. Apart from his directorships, he is also the Chairman of Risk Management Committee, a member of the Investment Committee and a member of Audit Committee of MAMG. Within other Maybank group of companies, he is also a board member of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad.
Khalijah Ismail
Khalijah Ismail joined Maybank in 1991 and has risen up the ranks in the Maybank Group as she had performed various roles within Maybank Group which include Treasury Operations, Corporate Banking Division as well as Investment Banking.

In July 2004, she was appointed as the Head Corporate Banking, Debt Markets at Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad) where she mainly oversaw all Private Debt Securities/Loan Syndication originated by Debt Capital Markets and Corporate Finance. She played a vital role as Team Lead, Corporate Cluster in the LEAP 30 project in Maybank Group's Transformation Programme in 2008. In 2009, she was appointed as the Project Lead for Global Wholesale Banking project. She assumed the role of Head, Finance & Business Operations (FBO), Global Banking since 1 July 2010 whereby she was responsible for Finance functions, Embedded Risk Unit, Asset Quality, Knowledge Management and MIS unit for Global Banking. In August 2012, she was in charge of managing International Operations with roles covering International analysis & financial reporting, credit, operational & market risk reporting, product development and operations. She was also accountable for the growth of the opportunistic markets as well as governance framework in London, New York, Labuan, Bahrain, Brunei and Papua New Guinea (the former Maybank subsidiary prior to the divestment). She comes with breadth and depth of commercial banking and investment banking experience as well as finance and risk experience.

She is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), United Kingdom and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Badrul Hisyam bin Abu Bakar
Executive Director
Badrul Hisyam bin Abu Bakar was appointed as non-independent executive director of Maybank Asset Management Malaysia (Maybank AM) on 7 November 2013. He was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Maybank AM Malaysia on 3 January 2014.

Badrul has almost 20 years of experience in numerous asset management companies such as HLG Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Commerce Asset Fund Managers Sdn Bhd, Avenue Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Tune Money Capital Sdn Bhd and BIMB Investment Management Berhad. His experience covers both traditional and shariah/ethical mandates and he has worked on both sides of the business - retail and institutional. At CIMB-Principal Asset Management Bhd, he was heavily engaged in the restructuring and rehabilitating of portfolios. Prior to joining Maybank AM, he was the Chief Investment Officer of BIMB Investment Management Berhad.

He graduated from New York University, USA with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Finance and Economics in 1996. He is the holder of the Capital Markets & Services Representative's License (CMSRL) issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) under the Capital Market & Services Act 2007.
